Our algorithm diagnosis on knee MRI if the anterior cruciate ligament is “ruptured” or “unruptured” . Thanks to our data analysis solution, the degree of confidence for this diagnosis can also be evaluated.
ABOUT LIGAMENT INJURY
Rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament is a frequent pathology of the knee which, undiagnosed, can be the source of important financial and social consequences.
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is the reference examination to confirm these ligament rupture.
Deep learning is a particularly interesting machine learning approach for medical image analysis, thanks to the use of neural networks. We have designed and used our proper convolutional neural network (CNN) based on a Deep-Learning’s algorithm to assist the detection of anterior cruciate ligament rupture in MRI.
Our work will be able to improve diagnostic assist techniques in radiology so that doctors devote their attention and expertise to difficult cases in order to improve patient service, save time and money.
